Our New CD features a bunch of Ògood old
good onesÓ and a King Cotton Jazz Band Original
Our Third CD continues
the King Cotton tradition and philosophy.
When we started in 1991 we wanted to play Dixieland Jazz in the style we
heard during the traditional jazz revival in the 1950Õs when most of the great
artists from the golden age were still active. ÒFat BoyÓ rolls along with classic tunes from the 1920Õs,
vocals, and danceable four-beat rhythms:
Pennies From heaven/My Blue Heaven, Lady Be Good, Am I Blue? Blue Skies, Coquette, Marie, Sweet Lorraine, Fat Boy*, Baby WonÕt
You Please Come
Home, Angry, Sleepy Time Down South

Our Band
George Fiedler (p) is the backbone of the rhythm section. He hails from Red Bluff and likes his
music and his weather hot.
Les ÒBlues BoyÓ Webb (tb) is a fixture in the Chico blues scene
and performs regularly in show band settings.
Randy Reaves (b) is a professional musician with eclectic taste
and long experience in rock and country music. Addicted to
Show tunes.
Dwayne Ramsey (reeds) learned this music listening to records and
live radio broadcasts from the Club hangover. He plays regularly in
San Francisco.
Mike Ross (d) drives the band forward with an unerring sense of
time and is a highly regarded Marin County drummer.
Craig Strode (tpt) and leader is well known in Chico and Northern
California for his Cottonwood Band.
